How would a computerization project successfully use legacy artefacts ?
Q. A computerization project will need to set aside or archive legacy artefacts for use later in the project. Won't there inevitably be big variations in the quality of these artefacts that are being set aside or earmarked ? A project such as Collins new submarine would involve legacy artefacts. In the early to mid 1980's legacy artefacts supposedly needed for Collins project would be set aside or earmarked. Won't there inevitably be big variations in the quality of these artefacts that are being set aside or earmarked ?

A. Precursor of Oberon needs to be interoperable with Collins. Blind Freddy could see that. People learn from their mistakes.

How can I project my self confidence without being arrogant?
Q. I'd like to improve the way people view me, and I'd heard that projecting your self confidence can help greatly. Unfortunately, every time I try, when I look back on the attempt, it seems like I'm being arrogant, or just not doing something right. Anyone have any ideas on how to improve my ability to project my self confidence, or a list of positive signs of someone with self confidence? In response to jared, that would be considered more as an arrogant thing, in the sense that you aren't respecting the girl at all.

A. I think there is way to project self confidence without being rude or arrogant. Here are some thoughts: - Never be the one to chase after a girl. if you like her, ask her out and she doesn't respond then move on to the next. If you call her and she doesn't call back...don't call back a couple more times. If she doesnt call back then don't wait on her - Smile often and say hello to people...try to be outgoing if you can. Provide complements to women-- you look nice today, your hair is different--looks good, you are wearing a nice perfume, etc. Don't over-do it, just try making a complement or two when you can - Walk tall and not too fast...don't strut though. Like a fighter pilot walking out to his plane before takeoff or… [cont.]

What is a good science fair project for a third grader?
Q. My daughter is 8-years old and they have to do a science fair project for their class. She loves animals so we have been trying to think of some ideas related to animals. We also have 2 cats so a project using them, we think, would be fun as well. Any suggestions for the project?

A. theres always the environment experiment. for example you could put each cat in seperate rooms and test for like an hour or so. you could have one room with lights on and windows open with soft classical music playing..a relaxed, home-like environment and in the other room no lights, quiet or disturbing music like a tense environment. record their eating habbits (while in the rooms) and sleeping and things like that. i wouldnt make it too complecated if shes only 8 but it shouldnt be too hard. maybe do this for a week, 4 or 5 days? more ideas are online everywhere. sciencebuddies.com might have something...if not try google-ing something like "simple science experiment cats" or "easy animal science projects"
